feebar

feebar: to be sick

Today, I am sick. I feel miserable when I reach school in the morning and decide to head home. But everyone is so kind to me—one of the men who hangs out around school is actually my uncle and owns a taxicab, and he drives me home.

Dama feebar, I tell my family when I arrive home so early.

Massa, massa, they say. Be strong!

I go to my room and promptly sleep for 3 hours.
